Greyhound Friends operates an adoption facility in Oak Ridge, NC. Our kennel accommodates up to 25 greyhounds at a time in climate-controlled comfort. Click through the slideshow below to take a virtual tour of our facility.
* Turnout typically takes place between noon and 1:00 pm. If you arrive during turnout, our staff and volunteers may be fully occupied working with our greyhounds. You are welcome to observe from outside the fenced area – it can be a great way to see many of our kennel guests and get a feel for their individual personalities. We will meet with you as soon as we are able.
When visiting the kennel allow two or more hours to choose your new companion. Our staff and/or adoption counselors will work with you to understand what you might be looking for and find the best match for your family. A description of how we match greyhounds with potential adoptive families at the kennel can be found on the Adoption Process page.
If you would like to bring your current dog(s) to visit with a potential new best friend, it is best to call for an appointment so we can assess your pack’s dynamics, discuss your specific needs and introduce our kennel guests safely.
Please contact us by phone (336-643-0233) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for an appointment to visit the kennel outside of our normal operating hours.
