I adopted a greyhound in 2003 from gfnc. My interview was with Barbara in Wilmington, NC. Barbara was excellent and invited me to hang out with the greyhounds in her home since I had never been around any. My grey never responded to his race name “stinger” so I promptly renamed him Rune. Rune passed away in June of this year. I spent the best decade of my life with that guy. If you were ever looking for a kind, calm, elegant friend who is more concerned with sleeping than with making a fuss, you need a greyhound in your life. This organization does something truly wonderful. Adopt a greyhound. Support Greyhound Friends of North Carolina. If you’d like to read a little bit about Rune and I, go here:

Rune. My new old compass.
