What is the Human Race?
The Human Race is a national, annual 5K charity walk and run that is coordinated locally by The Volunteer Center of Greensboro.  Individuals have the opportunity to walk for their favorite nonprofit( agency, school PTS, church, etc) In the past 16 years, the event has raised over $3.5 million for hundreds of local nonprofits.

Stats from 2012 race: there will be between 5,350 Walkers, 250 Runners, 25 walking teams, 115 participating Nonprofit organizations, 400 working volunteers at the event and raised $200,000.00.
After the race inside the Coliseum Pavillion,  you will be entertained royally and there will be plenty of great food for everyone .

Walkers are NOT required to pay a fee or collect a specific amount of donations to participate in The Human Race. There is a $25 flat fee to pre-register for the 5K run.

Note:  Greyhound Friends of NC will participate and have a nonprofit Walking Team. This will give you the opportunity to join our team by registration or donating to an individual walker on our team, which raises money for GFNC. Linda Landry will be the coordinator of GFNC's team.  You can turn in money to the kennel but all checks must be made out to the Human Race.  I'll turn in all monies directly to the Volunteer Center that will be recorded towards our final total.  Remember, you can do all this on this link:  GFNC- The Human Race
