When applying for a personalized Greyhound Adoption license plate, the prefix or suffix assigned will be the first or last letter on the plate.  This leaves only four (4) spaces for a Personalized message.  The four spaces may be a combination of letters and numbers, but cannot be numbers only. Choice cannot conflict with another class of license plates.
 

The $20/$50 special fee is an (ANNUAL) fee due in addition to the regular license fee.

**IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING LICENSE PLATES**
Before the order can be placed with NCDMV, 300 applications
(along with payment of the fee) must be collected. Greyhound Friends
has set December 31, 2006  May Open House May 6th as our goal for collection of the 300 applications. 
All monies collected will be held in a separate bank account and IF 300 applications have NOT been sold money will be refunded.

The license plate has been sponsored by GFNC, but you will be advertising Greyhound Adoption, not GFNC, so anyone with a GREYHOUND can get the word out about greyhounds.  
You can now have a Greyhound Adoption License Plate from the State of North Carolina.  All it will cost you is an extra $20/$50 over what your yearly license plate costs and from that you will be making a $10 donation to Greyhound Friends of North Carolina.
